Manager of Brewing and Process


Foodjob Nordic is looking for a strong brewery professional (m / f / d) to assume the responsibility for the process department at Harboes Bryggeri A/S in Skælskør, Denmark. With breweries located in Denmark and Germany and products marketed in 90 difference countries, Harboes Bryggeri is well established in the international market for beer and soft drinks. Moreover the company is one of the leading producers of malt extract in Europe.

Harboes Bryggeri A/S is listed on Nasdaq Copenhagen, and the Harboe family have been co-owners and have led the company since 1883. The company employs a total of approx. 540 employees and has its main office at the brewery in Skælskør, Denmark, where the company was founded in 1883.

The position

Reporting to the production manager you will be responsible for the large scale brewery operation consisting of the brewhouse and the beer, malt and compound mixing. You will be heading a department of +25 operators and teamleaders working in a 3-4 shift schedule and your primary focus will be to ensure a smooth production.

Your area of responsibility is:

  • Ensuring the right quality as well as a timely work execution
  • Coordinating and optimizing the production processes in terms of safety, efficiency and costs
  • Personnel planning, organizing the work and ensuring staff education and development
  • Cross-departmental coordination with Quality Assurance, Purchasing and Technical Department
  • Clarifying disruptions in the production process
  • Participating in audits and ensuring compliance with the requirements of the IFS food standard as well as product protection and hygiene regulations.

And by having focus on continuous improvement working in close cooperation and alignment with your colleagues you will ensure a high level of safety, quality and efficiency at the site in Skælskør.

Your profile

Besides a minimum of 5 years professional experience in the food industry with management responsibility, you hold a degree as Master Brewer or you have a track record being responsible for brewing operations.

As a person you are focused on finding solutions with a transparent and result-oriented way of working. You possess both flair for organizing and an entrepreneurial and economic way of thinking and acting.

Being dedicated and committed you have an enthusiastic approach that you are able to pass on to your employees and colleagues through excellent interpersonal skills and communication.

Experience with SAP and Botec systems is a definite advantage but not a requirement. However you are familiar with IT and automation systems in general and will be able to acquire a high level of user skills in such systems.

You speak and write English fluently.
